Merry Christmas from Guywire

The Word walked among us.

He made His home in our midst.

He came to stand by our side, to know you and I.

He underwent an incredible journey from Heaven to Earth so that you and I could see God face to face.

The Word sacrificed so that we would gain.

Through His birth here on earth we gained Hope.

By His presence we gained a future.

From the utterances of HIs mouth we gained healing and life.

The Word among us, Jesus among us.

Jesus is the Living Word of God.

He is the messenger that God sent to execute The Father’s great plan to fold you back into His midst.

Jesus is the instrument of God’s desire to rescue our lost souls.

God’s Word is not just for our future.

God’s Word is for the here and now.

God sent His Word to impact all the details of the lives we live.

And The Word is accomplishing God’s will.

Many of us have heard the famous line from Dicken’s Book, “It was the best of times, it was the worst of times”.

Today we stand in some of the worst times in our history.

Each one of us, each of our families has been touched by the storms raging in our world.

These storms rage on a global and very personal level.

But take heart and remember.

For today is a reminder that we are also living in the best of times.

For Today The Word, Jesus, made His home among us now and forever.

We no longer face storms alone, for the storms answer to The Word.

“In the beginning was The Word, and The Word was with God, and The Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through Him all things were made; without Him nothing was made that has been made. In Him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it…The Word became flesh and made His dwelling among us. We have seen His glory, the glory of the One and Only Son, who came from The Father, full of grace and truth.
