Days of Hope - Day 18

Friends,

I love this passage. We've all been exactly where it's talking about. A day, an instance, a situation when we feel like our secure footing is slipping. I like to rock-climb. When I'm up on the cliff, there have been many times when I've thought I had good footing, then - yikes! - off I go.

Fortunately, my brother-in-law has always been on the other end of the rope to brace me and keep me from falling.

Christ is the rope we all need to be tethered to. We all go through times when we feel like we are slipping; perhaps the current pandemic is making you feel that way now. These times can cause much anxiety, and lead to fear. We need to be braced...especially in troubled times like these.

For those whose hope is in Christ, and who are anchored to His love, there is always someone to hold us up. When you lock into this reality, when you bury this truth deep in your heart and know that He walks through each day with you, you'll see life differently. The lenses of anxiety and fear will clear, and you'll see things through the

hope and comfort that comes from being in relationship with Him. He will always be on the other end of the rope... and you'll know it.

Yours Brothers in Christ,
