It seems like lately I’m craving a lot of encouragement. Maybe it’s the naked depravity of our society, or the stunning lack of morality that is on display everywhere, every day. Maybe it’s the out-of-control oil prices, or our tanking economy. Perhaps it’s because I have loved ones who are sick and dying. Maybe it’s all this crammed together. I don’t know, but right now I want…I NEED to be encouraged.
And just like that, because The Lord knows my need, The Word comes to the rescue. Today’s verse, taken in context, is referring to the fact that Jesus is coming back one day to collect His faithful and make all things right. If that’s not big-time encouragement, I don’t know what is!
Man of God, look to the Living Word for encouragement. It is a necessary and life-giving part of God’s provision for you.
