As we happily move into the summer months many of us will plan special weekend trips to enjoy with family and friends.
As much as we love these times of respite and recreation we know that these destinations are not home and are temporary.
In this scripture and those around it Jesus is reminding us that this earth as currently constituted is not our home. We are sojourners with a final destination of heaven to be with the Father and those that have “fallen asleep in Christ”.
Jesus states that He does not want to take us out of the world but wants us to fulfill our mission of expanding The Kingdom.
He prays to The Father to sanctify us through the Truth of His Word.
Jesus is The Way, The Truth and The Life.
We have everything we need to live victorious lives filled with purpose.
