Men,
This parable has always amused me. I can just imagine the look on the Judge's face when he enters his courtroom and sees the old woman... and says in exasperation, "You? AGAIN?" Reminds me of when I was a Dad of young children and I'd hear the same repetitive question for the umpteenth time. It's cute and funny to me now, but I can remember having to employ deep-breathing exercises more than once.
Of course, there is a serious side to this parable...and I myself am living the "cry out" phase of Praise as I write this to you Brothers. God is the originator of "perfect timing".
Here we see Jesus instructing us in how to "cry out" to God The Father. Boil this parable down to it's essential elements, and here's what we get from Jesus Himself :
--Don't just pray and ask once. Pray over and over. Pray like it's the most important request you've ever lifted up -- because it often IS.
--Do not be discouraged when you don't see the result you desire. Remember : God is the originator of Perfect Timing.
--DON'T GIVE UP!! Don't be satisfied with "no". Double down with your prayer, keep crying out! Wear God out with your request. Do not doubt that He hears you.
Crying out to God is an essential part of praising Him, and giving Him His due. Don't neglect this, Brothers. As you cry out, you are giving Him the opportunity to do miraculous things !
