Brothers,
God our Father is large and in charge. Regardless of the storms that kick up in our lives, He is wholly sufficient to restore calm.
There is a related verse that says that the ocean raised it voice in praise of The Lord. They raised to the heavens and back down to the depths. It brings to mind the verse that if we don’t praise God, the rocks and trees would cry out.
This image of crashing waves makes me feel rather small and if I was on one of the boats described I would be equally as horrified.
The thing to note however is that God knows that we are capable of so much more than we realize.
Though when we have had enough and cry out, He is faithful and in tuned enough to deliver us from our distress.
Have you had enough of whatever it is that is rocking your boat? Or do you think you will tough it out for a few more days, weeks, months or years?
Crying out to God is not a sign of weakness, it is a sign of wisdom.
