Today the Psalmist reminds us that God is there for us even when things seem hopeless.
Many of us felt this sense of hopelessness or despair throughout the last fifteen months. Whether it was problems with work, family, physical or mental health, or a deep sense of uncertainty, Covid affected all of us. We might not be wandering in the desert or hungry and thirsty like we read in today’s passage, but whatever our troubles are, God is there for us.
It can be confusing or frustrating in troubling times, especially when our will does not match His. In our despair we sometimes expect God to carry out our plan, and He might have different ideas. Regardless, take comfort in the fact that our God is all-powerful, all-knowing, and He loves us. Cry out to Him - He will hear you.
