Understanding yields clarity. Understanding yields fondness. Understanding yields love.
When we receive understanding of God’s words, of who He is and how much He cares about our whole lives we come to appreciate His ways.
Today’s passage is about the Impact that Godly given understanding can have on each day. On things we say, the decisions we make, the directions we take. When God gives light and insight into the meaning of His words and the directives He gives us, we come to an inescapable realization, His ways are better.
I heard someone years ago that when you know what you want in life it becomes easy to say no to decisions and paths that don’t serve that purpose.
When we spend the time pursuing meaning of who God is and His truths we’ll discover something else, purpose. He has a plan for your life. It is much better than anything you could have dreamed up. He tailor made it for you. He wants to grow you and help you understand the way, His way, that He has for you.
Knowing this, knowing that God has something better for you makes is easier to yield to Him. To yield to the tilling work He wants to do in the soil of your heart. The work needed to prepare you for the growth He has intended for you.
When we pursue understanding of His ways it becomes easier to say no to all the wrong paths that lead us into worry and anxiety and stress. It helps us avoid routes that lead away from the place God has for us. The most satisfying place we will ever know.
Understanding yields love of God’s ways.
