Brothers,
Freed up.
Once our hearts are set free by the saving grace of Jesus, we no longer have to stumble along the paths of life. No longer do we bumble along hoping we choose the right path. No, we are able to fully know and have confidence that we are proceeding in the right way.
It is only when our heart condition truly opens to His leading will we begin to understand where it is we need to go. A key to this understanding is found in verse 30 where it is written“I have chosen the way of faithfulness…”. We must open our hearts to allow the seed to take root.
We must make the choice to follow.
The image the psalmist creates for us helps us to see what an unencumbered life looks like. We can “take it and run with it.”
Free indeed.
